The Patriots already know what it’s like to have a player like Rob Gronkowski in their offense, so it’s no surprise that they’re potentially interested in adding one of his siblings to their roster as well.

According to ESPN’s James Walker, the Patriots were among teams who showed interest in Gronkowski’s brother Glenn at the Senior Bowl, who told reporters he was meeting with their representatives Wednesday night. He also spoke about the possibility of playing football with his brother, which he said would be great.

“That would be awesome,” he said via ESPN. “I’ve actually never played with any of my brothers before. They’ve always been too old for me. … Everyone else has played together, so to be on the same team, that would be a dream come true.”

The Patriots have already had one of the brothers on the roster in the past, with Dan Gronkowski having played in five games with New England during the 2011 season, but he just couldn’t earn a role.

The Kansas State fullback is 22-years old and wasn’t a big part of the offense last season, finishing with just 11 carries for 45 yards and five receptions for 76 yards. But during the week he’s shown great hands and there have been several reports suggesting a move for the 6’3″ fullback to potentially move to tight end. He’s also reportedly a great blocker, which, like his brother, would be a great asset.

He’s rated as a potential late round selection, which will be something to keep an eye on in the upcoming draft.
