Ignore the Noise: Belichick Never Touched Female Official Sunday

Social media is a great source of information, but it’s also one of the worst when it comes to distributing the wrong information.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had words with female official Sarah Thomas on Sunday regarding an issue he had with how an Eagles player was trying to bring down one of his players during his team’s loss to Philadelphia.

Belichick went up to Thomas and began talking to her about it and during the conversation mimicked what he was trying to explain, and while his hands were above her shoulders, he never made contact and it was clear his main intent was to explain what he was seeing and ask her to address it.

Sites grabbed a still and shared it as if something inappropriate was done:

However, that wasn’t the case and you can clearly see for yourself via this Vine that was posted:

So as you’ll see, he never actually makes contact and was in no way “creepy” as many social media accounts out there seem to be alluding to after viewing the stills that people captured from the television footage.

It’s just ridiculous and watching it in real time should hopefully clear this up.

And on that note, we’re on to Houston.
