SMITHFIELD, RI — To no one’s surprise, wide receiver Terry Glenn was a no-show for practice on Sunday.

Glenn’s agent Jim Gould told the Boston Globe that the Patriots receiver is upset with what he perceives as a lack of support in the appeal process, not to mention in his pending assault and battery case. Team spokesperson Stacey James told the Globe that Glenn’s absence was unexcused, which brings an automatic $1,000 fine.

Gould did tell the Globe that he had advised Glenn to continue on with the team while he and team officials discussed things.

Due to the suspension, Glenn will be ineligible to play until the fifth game of the season, Oct. 7 at Miami, but in the meantime, he is still permitted to work out with the team and take part in exhibition games.
