SMITHFIELD, RI — There was more bad news on the injury front for the Patriots on Wednesday, when second-year offensive lineman and last year’s 2nd round draft choice Adrian Klemm suffered a dislocated elbow and was driven off the practice field.

The extent of Klemm’s injury has yet to be determined, and now leaves New England one more player short on the depth chart in a group where even Damien Woody has also suffered a slight knee injury which saw him carted off the field yesterday. Starting left guard Mike Compton is expected to miss at least a few weeks with a strained calf, and first string right tackle Matt Light is also out with a twisted ankle. Patriots starting right guard Joe Andruzzi remains out with a bad back.

Because of the recent rash of injuries, New England has re-signed offensive lineman Sale Isaia who is familiar with the team’s system and worked out with the first unit at right guard. Isia played in 15 games for the Patriots last season, starting 13 of them.

As of Wednesday, the Patriots offensive line consisted of Kenyatta Jones at left tackle, prior to his injury Klemm was at left guard, Grey Ruegamer in for Woody at center, Sale Isaia at right guard, and Greg Robinson-Randall at right tackle. Adam Davis may end up being a candidate to fill in at guard for Klemm.
