It came down to third and long again for the Patriots. And again, Troy Brown came through.
Patriots.com is reporting that Brown has signed a five year contract. His agent, Gary Uberstine, closed the deal on Saturday. Though the terms of the deal were not officially released, the Globe is reporting that the deal is believed to be worth $13 million, including a $2.5 million signing bonus.
Brown, a steady and clutch receiver, proved his invaluable worth to the Patriots with his duties as punt returner. Brown becomes the second high profile free agent to re-up with the team; Lawyer Milloy did the same a few weeks back.
Patriots.com is also reporting that the Patriots have signed free agent Eric Bjornson, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
More details will be posted when they become available.
