I'll leave it to you all to interpret the question however you see fit.
Personally, I see it this way: the rest of the league basically made a pretty large purchase on what Robin Williams' character in Dead Again called the "Karma credit plan--buy now, pay forever." And now it's time for the Pats to collect: from here on out, I want to see the Pats just kicking the living daylights out of their opponents. Seriously--ten years from now, I want people thinking that teams that had to play the 2007 Patriots were getting off easy compared to their later counterparts.
