You don’t know the QB will be there at 11. You trading down could push other teams wanting a QB trading in front of you and take the guy you want.
my opinion is that if we trade down it is more probable that we will miss on all the top QB because there is a lot of teams that want them and you...
i think trading down is the worst decision the Patriots can make.
You can have all those pieces but without a QB we will go nowhere. You can book that if we trade down we will be looking to trade multiple 1st round picks in 2-3 years to move up in the draft to get a QB that will not be as good...
Why get cute? Then Arizona will trade out to someone who wants JJ and you’ll be screwed.
If you think JJ is the guy just take him at 3.
It’s just not worth the risks. QB is the most important position. Don’t play with it.
Yeah I don’t buy it. I think they like the QB but they realize that they need a lot so they try to entice a team to make a ridiculous offer for them to trade out.
NE beats writer are trending toward the Patriots picking a QB at 3. The only guys that pushed the Patriots trade down narrative are...
A less exciting one and probably a worse one.
It make absolutely no sense to punt on a QB. So if you trade down you get 2 more 1st round pick. 1 this year and 1 next year then in 2-3 years when you are stuck in no man’s land because you don’t have a QB and you’ll need to trade 3 1st to move up...
But in the end it’s not 3 first. It’s only 2 because you swap one.
It’s just one more pick in 2024 and probably a low 1st round pick in 2025.
I am not trading a potential franchise QB for that.
I don’t buy that for one second. Since Brady left the building and the team started to lose, Bill became an excuse machine. It’s well known and well describe by players that Bill played hard ball with them.
When they were winning it was Bill is so smart with how he manage the salary cap not...
Yeah yeah we know, everything that was good was Bill and everything that went wrong was Kraft forcing thing on Bill.
Do we really think that Bill would have stayed in NE if Kraft was consistently meddling and forcing thing on him?
I think the Malcolm Butler benching started all of it.
I think Kraft was always against certain method Bill use but he trusted Bill that it was all in the name of winning. Butler benching eroded that trust. When the losing started Kraft wasn’t able to put up with it anymore. Winning cures...
Because Bill isn’t? He threw Brady under the bus to save his ass, bench Butler to serve a personel vendetta, hired Judge and Patricia to position that they weren’t competent in just because he wanted his friends there.
Come on now, Bill did plenty of things that weren’t in the best interest of...
To be honest, as a patriots fan, I am more upset at Bill sabotaging the Patriots the last two years than Kraft allegedly sabotaging Bill for the Falcons job.
I think it’s just BB camp that try to save face because he couldn’t get a job. Better people believing that it is Kraft that sabotage him instead of him not being that attractive of a candidate a 72 and after the debacle of the last 2 years.
I don’t understand what Kraft has to gain by doing...
Interesting take but I think it has been dumb down because they are so few good QBs that coaches in the NFL are trying to maximize the floor of the QBs that enters the league.
The only guys that probably fit Tom Brady’s view of what a QB should be doing are Mahomes and Rodgers.
