Kyle Dugger is a very good player.

Feels a bit like an overpay at 4 years $58m ($66m max) given they had him for a year at $13m. You would have imagined that 4 years $48-52m max would have been the deal. He will be almost 29 next off season and his price is more likely to be less than $13m rather than more.

All said that, glad we have him long term. Another BB drafted player locked up.

ok so QB, WR, OL, LBs have to be the focus of this draft.

Transition tag was a smart move, the market set the price and New England was safe in protecting themselves from losing the player.

I like Kyle Dugger as much as anyone but that's ($58M) a big number. I think most would agree.

The guaranteed money is where the bullet hits the bone, the contract details will be interesting to see.

Let's see the details, but let's also remember that the CAP has soared and will again.

Dugger is a legit playmaker. I don't want him at FS (c'mon Hawkins, get back to whta you were!), but with him, Peppers, and Mapu, the Pats can really get creative and aggressive on D, which is what Mayo is promising - more aggressiveness.

I'm here for it. As good as the Pats have been on D, the good QBs tend to get it done against them.

One sign a good QBs is good is they can still get it done vs good defenses.

Unless Bledsoe is our #4 S and our FS, I still want another safety, at least a free agent to compete with Bledsoe and as a roster player if there is an injury.

You have to him them, hard and often. With Peppers, Dugger, and Mapu, the Oats should be able to come at a QB from anywhere.

It’s a big number, but the cap is growing so rapidly that I feel like it’s not as high as we think it is.

Trade Judon gotta stack up on assets.
A team should be able to offer a third for him, he could do wonders on a team like Atlanta.

Agreed, this is another thing of note that wolf and Mayo spoke on is retaining your own guys.. have to give the organization credit for doing so. It does great things for the culture of the team going forward.
