Patriots new OC - Alex Van Pelt

Until a report comes out Kraft was offering much less than other teams then let’s put the pitchforks down.

I have to say I was shocked he was fired cause the Browns started what 4 QBs?
They all played really well.

I think their HC calls the O.

Lol, uninspiring

As a coach:

My god this is to salvage Mac isn’t it.
I need to see who’s Wr coach and QB coach and TE coach.
Maybe the other interviewers will get one of those spots.
The original WC offense used the short passing game as the run game.

Corkys specialty is the dink and dunk.

Or fix Mac dear God
I have a feeling that's what's going to happen.

They will not risk it this year by going all out. My gut states they will try to tradevdown get an additional 1st round pick for 2025 and build the team in trenches and start with Mac.

This will ensure people's expectations are rock bottom. Now the advantage of this is you can only go up and there is a high probability if you are lucky in drafting.

So if we end up 7-10 or 8-9 with Mac throwing for 3700 yards 22 td / 11 int

We are well placed into 2025 with an extra first round pick . We will see the new QB then. I have a feeling they will draft Spencer rattler in 3rd round.

We're signing Joe Flacco and drafting Spencer Rattler.

Don't @ me , because I totally made that up to add to the turmoil. Love the drama.

Fwiw, Jeremy Springer was a way cooler name.

yeah, he has experience in the coordinator role, which entails a lot more than just drawing up a game plan...

Like the title says they coordinate everything on offense... QBs. WR's TE, RB, etc... make sure all the coaches are on the same page etc... executive level stuff... along with game planning...

I dont know a hell of a lot about him as a coach, but he does have experience in the role, which we need... this is a young coaching staff...
Ok, well I guess I'm ok with it. He's experienced, been there done that . I like it. Finally an OC hire. Now we can focus on Filing out the rest of the staff and FA.

I don't care about Mac at this point, but I am a fan of building the team talent and not putting the pressure on a rookie QB, so there is that.

Strange headline for a guy that was fired.
More clickbait headlines, consistent with the Zac Robinson headline where it said he spurned the Patriots, but nowhere in the article did it say the Patriots actually offered him the job.

His entire 9 year playing career can be summarized in a 3:20 video.

Feels like a safe option, which isn’t a bad thing. Certainly will be different from a schematic standpoint.

I’m mostly just entertained that nobody in the media even had him being interviewed until after he had gotten the job.
