I spoke to a work colleague over the phone with whom I had a disagreement Monday. We sorted it out, then got to "I hope you & yours are okay"

Well, his family's all in NY. He's lost 5 people (cousins) and his sister is infected right now but not hospitalized.

That's few enough degrees of kevin bacon for my taste.

Here and there I noticed this is starting to hit some folks very personally, and I hope everybody's doing well today & just enjoying Saturday not in the park.

Stay home, stay well, we'll get there.

Try and do the little things to strengthen your immune system.

Get enough sleep, reduce stress, be positive.

Keep a good supply of darts to throw at the APF board.

Hang in there.

oh boy, a virus thread...

My cousin just died of the virus Tuesday. He was like a big brother to me and I have been up and down all week because of this. Just can't seem to work things out fully. I don't know even in this I am rambling. Sorry.

My condolences. How old was your cousin.

Really sorry. Not sure what else to say.

It's been getting closer to home. A vendor of our company shut down because of a positive test. They come into our company almost daily to restock our supplies. Now a co-worker has been tested. If the test is positive we'll shut down for a few days to disinfect. But reading the post above breaks my heart.

I am so sorry to hear this. The death of a loved one is hard enough to understand and cope with but I fear that doing it alone is just too much to ask of people.

My thought and prayers go out to you and your family. Be kind to yourself. Take care.

My condolences. How old was your cousin.

He was 69 one year older than I am. Every summer I would go down to Chester, PA as I was an only child and swapped between 2 families one up here in Somerville one down there.

He was a sports fanatic and the one that got me into sports. I became a die hard Boston fan and sadly also a Philadelphia fan because of the 2 homes.

I still remember the Phillies under Gene Mauch losing the pennant and cursing his name because I never thought a Boston or New England team would ever win anything. Note I only followed baseball and football.;)

It's good that you have good memories of your time together. Sure that's what will carry you through, the thought he would want you to continue your love of sports for the both of you.

This is also a place you can go if you need to ramble to someone.

I did a 5 mile hike with 5 others down the cape this morning. Then I drove to a beautiful beach in Sandwich and took photos with my new Nikon

My sister has Cystic Fibrosis- she got the virus, in the hospital for 16 days, but home now!! It was really scary for a while- it’s pretty miraculous she made it. On oxygen at home, (we are used to that, she’s had to be on oxygen on & off over the years)- her immune system somehow overcame it.
