This is the link to the NFL's greatest moments vote over the first 100 years: NFL 100

A couple things I find stunning. One, somehow, Indy Colt DB Jackson's interception of Brady late in the 2006 AFCCG (when the entire game was already over, 20 seconds and no TOs), somehow made it onto the list. Malcolm Butler's INT in the Super Bowl did NOT make it onto the list. Really? Jackson? Not Butler?

Also, the Patriots 28-3 comback is not in the top 10 of greatest moments, when a bunch of moments I don't even remember (Marhsawn Lynch's run?) are.

I knew they were hated, but for the two most memorable moments in Patriots history to not make the top 10? One of them not even a candidate for top 10? It's hard to fathom.

They are hated with more heat than a million suns.

I don't blame people for not voting for anything NE related. I didn't vote for the Tyree catch or Philly Special...the Tyree catch is one of the top 10 moments in NFL history

Did Miami miracle and the Steelers interception of Brady last year finish 1 and 2? Certainly the greatest plays of all time.

No football team has ever been hated this much - and it is f**king wonderful.

The Butler int should be a top 5 play of all time. Right up there with The Catch, the music City miracle andand Immaculate Reception.

The Butler INT is the greatest play in SB history - and thus in modern NFL history.

The blue ribbon panel on NFLN all considered those moments among the greatest in NFL history. Butler INT was in the top 5, I believe.

People have nothing better to do than to make excuses why their team has lost so much for the past 2 decades. It's what losers in life tend to do - blame someone else for their own problems.

Bill's number one play of all time is likely a block Mark Bravado made back in the day.

When he ran over the entire 49ers defense, sparking them from 17-0 down on the road to an eventual SB win.

Just imagine the currently unlikely seeming event of the Patriots turning this season around and winning yet another Super Bowl. And also the CameraGate II investigation being forced to conclude that nothing had to do with the football ops and only leveling a fine and maybe slightly downgrading a 6th or 7th round pick. We then have another parade and Belichick unveils this year's catchphrase: "The Damage is Done, My Friend."

Imagine the hate, then!

So each team gets one and for the Patriots they chose 28-3. Fair enough. I still think Butler was a bigger "moment."

And, really: That Jackson pick was the biggest moment in Indianapolis history? I don't think they even have a banner commemorating it.

Format leaves out a lot of great plays, like Harrison's pick 6 for the Steelers vs Warner.

NFL Network already did a top 100 moments countdown and Butlers was #5.

Top 4 were immaculate reception, the catch, helmet catch, music city miracle.

I’d put Butler at #1 given the context but whatever.

I wouldn’t get too hung up on this fan vote. Not even sure what it is, looks a little B league if you ask me.

Who cares......look at the damned trophies

On one of the top 100 shows he was talking about a play in which Ed Reed baited Peyton Manning into an interception, calling it one of the greatest plays he (BB) ever saw made on a football field, ever. Basically, Reed knew what Peyton was expecting him to do, and did the opposite.

The Butler INT was really great, because it really was a great play - planned and executed to perfection. Not a lucky bounce like the Immaculate Reception or a ball sticking for some reason to a helmet. And the MCM was really just defended horribly.

Hope they hate us even more in a month

There will never be a more jump-out-of-my-seat-yelling, 100% probability swing, long-term-legacy-impact than the Butler interception. For a single play, nothing compares, and I can't imagine anything will ever compare to it. The legacy of the team, the coach, and the QB are inextricably tied to that one play.

The Immaculate Reception is the only thing close in terms of the emotional swing and how it shaped the legacy of the team. And that play was a fluke, which only got the Steelers to the next round of the playoffs.

The fact that Butler's play is not the clear #1 in NFL history is largely tied to the fact that the Patriots were the beneficiaries. IMHO, of course :)
