While it's true the Lions got hosed they did very little to help themselves through the last 3 quarters. TDs not FGs! Stupid play calling both offensively and defensively. Not to me tion that 12 men on the field on 4th down.
They played scared to lose and allowed the game to be close enough where 2 bad untimely calls could change the balance.
While I feel bad for lions fans I don't feel bad for the lions or their coaches. Learn this lesson or repeat it and stay losers forever. Their choice.
Wins aren't something you protect and keep away from the other team. It's something you take from the other team.
Why do people insist on making silly comments like the above? It's nonsense. The Lions played a strategy that would have led to a win. The officials cost them the game. We're not talking one blown call early in the game here. we're talking 6 major blown calls that completely changed the game.
- Lame defensive holding call which extended a drive that would otherwise have been dead
- Terrible unnecessary roughness call on a defender playing for an interception
- Blown hands to the face call #1
- Blown hands to the face call #2
- A missed too many men on the field call against the Packers
- A missed P.I. call against the Packers
