I don’t care about your thesis. And if it actually were a hypothetical you wouldn’t be claiming to be right because it’s hypothetical. If you want to talk philosophy go to a coffee shop and bring a chessboard.
LOL!!
I asked you an honest question and you gave me a chickenshit response. It's a very simple question. I challenge you to man up and answer it:

You told me you "seriously doubt" what I wrote. Which part do you “seriously doubt”? (1) My belief that the Commissioner would rule against the Patriots if Caserio wanted out or (2) my belief that the Patriots would lose in federal court if they appealed it?

Don't worry... we know you won't respond because you've painted yourself into a corner where there is literally no way you could actually answer the question without looking foolish.

If Caserio had no interest in going, this was a one day story.

Despite the fact that Volin’s “report” has been used as the basis for additional articles on many websites (including PFT), Volin has admitted on Twitter that he has no sources and is simply “using common sense” for his report.

Part of the issue is people are not willing to wait forever. Was true with Brady and is true with BB. No one knows when they will exit.
we'll know that answer if Caserio stays beyond next year or not. With Jimmy it was more of a salary cap issue.

Jimmy wanted to play.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't want to be the guy who follows the legend. I'd rather be the guy who follows the guy who followed the legend. That would apply to QB, HC or GM.

I do not envy the men who take over for Brady and Belichick when that time comes. You'd have to win multiple Super Bowls just to maintain the status quo, and even then you probably wouldn't be appreciated as much as you deserved.

Apologies mods but I think this is a unique topic which shouldn't be merged.

NFL Rumors: Patriots’ Nick Caserio ‘Wants Out,’ Desires Texans GM Job

I don't know how reliable Ben Volin is as a source but I can easily see Caserio feeling he's paid his dues and want the Texans job.

Caserio has been here since 2001. He's more than paid his dues to be promoted General Manager or VP of the Pats.

What's fairly normal in the NFL, and in business in general, is to give people bigger titles and salaries than their position warrants, in order to keep them from leaving. It is a necessary evil these days; everyone does it, so to keep up, everyone does it.

Belichick doesn't seem to do this. In fact, he seems to lean a bit in the other direction, toward waiting for someone to be a little over-ripe in their current role before moving them up. Very old school, very much his own personal experience for which he has tremendous affection. So that's how he manages.

From the outside looking in, if Caserio is a bit edgy about wanting more title, recognition, freedom, and $$, it would make sense. And there's a generational value system context for this that may have some influence - "kids these days." We don't care, 'cause the Pats keep winning.

But I'm not someone who sees his career as being slowed by Methusalachick's continual mastery of the NFL. Who knows what it feels like to be Caserio in 2019?

It should be merged.

BTW- notice that not a single other beat reporter has written anything even similar. They are all to busy snickering behind Volin's back.

At this point, they are all probably SMH at another successful click bait trolling effort from Volin. Heck, he's gotten a dozen or more reads just from this thread (I guess).

I also would like the higher pay from an exclusivity clause without the actual exclusivity part.

I think you are full of sh.t. We know what happened and you want to spin it into hypotheticals. Argue with yourself as long as you want to.

I want a pony.

Kyrie Caserio?

I want a pony.

I wouldn't be surprised.

As long as bill is here he'll never have full control and get to do everything his way. He could have that somewhere else.
