Looks like the next chance will be in 2029-30, when I'll be...69! Yeah baby!
As it turns out, there is only one consistently awesome team in New England since 2001. Glad we have them!
There's another one which has 4 rings since 2004 and has been pretty good, too. Not as good as the Pats, but pretty good.As it turns out, there is only one consistently awesome team in New England since 2001. Glad we have them!
Atta way to sound jackassish AF. It was a lighthearted comment Francis. Lighten up.talkabout cherry-picking........the bruins have missed the playoffs 7 times in 50 years
over the same period (since 2001), the celtics have missed the playoffs 4 times
over the same period, the red sox have won the world series 4 times
atta way to sound as spoiled AF
Two out of four ain't bad....
TBH, I am more upset about the Celts' pathetic performance in round 2 than the B's losing game 7.....
Yeah even if the Smelltics had beaten the Bucks, I don't think they would've beaten Toronto, especially without home court advantage.I can't imagine how a team that wasn't even guaranteed to make the Finals (They would've been underdogs against Toronto) compares to a team blowing game frickin 7 of the Cup Finals at home. I assume you are a much bigger Celts fan than B's fan? That's the only explanation lol.

There is No doubt Whatsoever in my mind that if Perkins hadn't been Cheap-Shotted by Ron Artest, then Boston wins Game 7....As for the 2010 Celtics, they lost game 7 by 4 friggin points. I believe if Perkins didn't get hurt in Game 6 they get a couple more rebounds and win Game 7...

Of course, if Danny had gone the logical way and drafted Lottery-talent DeAndre Jordan instead of UDFA-talent JR Giddens in 2008, then Boston still wins Game 7...and another title in 2012.
Perhaps...and I won't deny that trading up 3 spots to draft...Kelly Olynyk...is certainly going outside the box.Truth, but Danny has done a lot more right than wrong while he's been here. He's gone outside the box and it's worked many times. Unfortunately this team ran into injuries, a generational dubs team, and Lebron at the peak of his powers just as Ainge's plan was all starting to come together.
Smelltics...how cute...Yeah even if the Smelltics had beaten the Bucks, I don't think they would've beaten Toronto, especially without home court advantage.

To me the biggest danger in the NBA is falling into that mediocre zone that's so hard to get out of. Ainge did a masterful job of riding the big three just as long as he should have--you don't want to blow things up too soon--and then getting a great return from them. He drafted well, went after a good free agent, then cashed in some chips on Kyrie. And the coach looked good too. Up until this season, gold stars. Unfortunately, you have to be judged by results, and his grand plan simply didn't work.I certainly admit many moves didn't pan out. But the fleecing of the Nets gets Danny a pass for a very long time (not to mention getting Garnett and Allen in the first place). Throw in the Tatum deal, taking on and unloading Brinks Truck at the right time, and the hiring of Stevens, and he has definitely done more good than bad.
