Can Boston win the championship grand slam?

IMO, the Bruins have the better odds given that it's hockey and all about who gets hot.....that and the fact the Lighting have been eliminated.

The Celts will have to run the gauntlet of @Bucks, @Raptors/Sixers, and @Warriors/Rockets. However, if they get by the Bucks....I think they are going to the Finals at least.....just gotta split the first two games in Milwaukee to ensure that it'll be 2-2 by game 5.

4 Major Titles in One Season would be incredible.

But here's what we do know at this point in time (April 24, 2019).

In slightly more than 6 months, the 4 Boston/NE Major League teams are now on an 8-0 streak of playoff eliminations:

Red Sox: 3-0
Patriots: 3-0
Celtics: 1-0
Bruins: 1-0

My question is - - has that ever been done before?

.

Question: Would it still be a grand slam when the Red Sox won last year, not this year (at least so far it looks very unlikely this year)?

Since a lot of top contenders choked hard I think Bruins have a really good chance to win it all this year. I think they will take care of business against CBJ and win against the Caps in 7. The remaining West teams are beatable as long as the Bruins don't choke.

C's I'm worried about the most. Bucks have the MVP and I don't remember the last time we won away at Toronto, plus Kawhi has ice in his veins. If by miracle we made it out of the East we still have to face f'ing Golden State. As much as I want a grand slam this year I don't think it happens because the C's have too much competition.

Yes, since all four titles will have occurred consecutively.

People have been struggling with this but its really simple, if we win the NBA finals and NHL finals then we will be defending champs in all 4 until the next World Series is played.

************, if one more person asks this question.....

The 2018 Patriots/Red Sox already won and we're looking for the 2018 Bruins/Celtics to also win.

No one refers to the "2015" championship Patriots or the "2012" Bruins. Stop it.

Stop being so pessimistic!:D

I'm sure it hasn't and #2 isn't even close.

What impressed me about the Sox win was that they did it with playoff wins against TWO 100 win teams AND the NL's best team. If the C's manage to win this year they would have done it the same way beating 2 top teams in the east and a GREAT team in the west. The Bruins on the other hand have been hit with the lucky stick having 3 of the top teams going out so early. But that's hockey for some reason low seeds beating high ones isn't really much of a stretch in the NHL, it would be cataclysmic in the NBA.

The Pats also beat two 12 win teams en route to the SB....and then beat a 13 win team too....

1986:

Red Sox: 3-2
Patriots: 3-1
Celtics: 4-2
Bruins: 0-1

1976:

Red Sox: 2-1
Patriots: 0-0
Celtics: 3-0
Bruins: 1-2

The only chance this happens is if the GSW somehow get bounced before the finals or suffer huge injuries.

I like the Celtics chances against the Warriors. Not sure I see them beating Toronto, but one step at a time.

Well, the Bruins are doing their part, onto the conference finals...

...the Celtics, on the other hand, turtling again as they did most of the year. It’s miracle territory for them now.

Celtics take a 1-0 lead over Milwaukee and half this forum starts looking forward to playing Toronto. Guess that didn't work out so well.

as long as golden state is still stacked the chances of a grandslam for anyone is minimal.

Oh well, three out of four ain't bad. Go Bruins!!!!!!!
