Tyreek Hill Investigation

I'd love to read Chiefs fans trying to justify and defend all of this...

Currently at ChiefsPlanet they're nitpicking over whether a child can be an "accuser", presumably so they can know whether or not to victim blame.

Probably enough for the Chiefs to let it slide. In my opinion, he’s the best receiver in the league after Odell, they’ll let it go.

nothing will happen.

The dumbass prosecutor needs to convict both of them, because it doesn't matter who did it, the other is an accessory because concealment of a crime is itself a crime.

We have something called the 5th amendment, fortunately, which interferes with your position.

The nfl doesn’t mess around with **** like this. Given the optics and the Peterson mess. I say he will be put on the commissioners excempt list and will miss a year waiting for a six game suspension. The nfl can’t afford to look like they are going soft on a child beater.

I don't think you understand the 5th Amendment either.

The DA has the ability to press charges. He chose not to.

It would behoove us to keep in mind that as a result of Espinal’s and/or Hill’s actions or inactions somewhere there is an injured and undoubtedly confused child that has been removed from all they know as a result.

They know who did it. They are accessories to a crime. The DA chose not to prosecute because it helps the Chiefs.

The DA is too chicken **** to pick up a high-profile case.

I wonder when he re-election bid is.

Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill won’t be prosecuted for hurting his three-year-old child, even though prosecutors believe someone hurt Hill’s three-year-old child. A prosecution won’t occur because both Hill and the boy’s mother, Crystal Espinal, can invoke their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and refuse to cooperate with the investigation and, ultimately, to testify at trial.

That won’t save Hill from the scrutiny of the NFL...

...Here’s the key language from the Personal Conduct Policy: “Because the Fifth Amendment’s protection against self-incrimination does not apply in a workplace investigation, the league will reserve the right to compel a player to cooperate in its investigations even when he is the target of a pending law enforcement investigation or proceeding. A player’s refusal to speak to a league investigator under such circumstances will not preclude an investigation from proceeding or discipline from being imposed.”

Before Roger Goodell, Tyreek Hill’s Fifth Amendment rights won’t save him

State prosecutors in general are the lowest level of attorneys outside personal injury lawyers. They are generally unsophisticated and get their position by running for election.

Might be time to reconsider the beer tossers ban. Remember when Hill wanted that guy put up against the wall?

Should have thrown acid at him instead.

Yes- I said that. He abuses women and children. He deserves it.

I was thinking of fragging but yeah if you think that's too far over the top, acid will do...for now

They're just politicians. Problem of having a court system suborned to an (undemocratic) electoral one.

Hopefully the Queefs are dumb enough to do what they did with Hunt, make the same mistake, bend to public pressure, and cut him. That would all but eliminate them from being a serious threat this year.

To be fair what I got from the explanation at the time was Hunt's undoing in KC was lying to the team about the incident. He even admitted he lied to the team. I doubt BB would think twice about cutting a player that outright lied to him although TBH he might look to get a pick for him before doing it

Yeah, I don’t buy that at all. And even then, that’s a ridiculous reason to cut a guy before any sort of investigation is completed. They cut him because the public got their pitchforks and torches out. Sucks to be dumb. They could use him again this season, when his suspension is up, unless they stumble on a talent like him outside of the first round. And that’s doubtful. They should cut Hill too. I’ll call them and let them know Hill is lying.

Maybe when he told the team "Dindu nuffin, wadn't there, wadn't me" after they asked him about it directly they felt the video was all they needed by way of a team investigation. Some folks are funny that way. Understanding ofc YMMV :D
