Pats/Texans is in red

Well, looks like the interwebs for me on Long Guyland... but on the plus side, the Giants and Jets both play at 1:00pm as well!

I had to explain to my dad, who has NFL Sunday Ticket, how games that are blacked out on his Direct TV channels are appearing on the national channels and that he will get all games.

Unless, it's a 4pm game and they feel the need to national broadcast is eating into the 4pm game time (and that pisses me off, especially when it wasn't the game that was originally on that station)

O.R., that's sort of a rare occurrence, isn't it? For the Giants and Jets to be playing at the same time? I actually thought it never happens, but it is this week.

I've lived here since 2011, and I cannot recall it happening before.

I don’t have to worry about coverage, I have Sunday ticket and I’m ready baby!

Looking further ahead, best guesses on who the announcers will be this season:

Week 4: Panthers at Patriots, 1:00 pm on Fox
CBS has the doubleheader in week 4, so Fox will probably put their top broadcast team (Joe Buck and Troy Aikman) on an early game. NE-Car is their best early game, which would most likely mean Buck/Aikman should do the Pats game. However, Fox prefers to promote their own teams (ie, NFC), and they love the NFC East. Buck-Aikman could be assigned to the Rams-Cowboys instead, which would lead to the Pats getting Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis instead. That would be more likely if Fox had two Pats games, but that is not the case since Atlanta at NE is on SNF. This one has to be Buck/Aikman.

Week 5: Patriots at Tampa Bay, Thursday night on CBS
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

Week 6: Patriots at Jets, 1:00 pm on CBS
Miami at Atlanta would be the main early game on CBS, so they get Eagle/Fouts. Hard to say, but I'll guess that the Pats game goes to Greg Gumbel and Trent Green.

Week 7: Falcons at Patriots, 8:30 pm on NBC
Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth

Week 8: Chargers at Patriots, 1:00 pm on CBS
CBS has only five games this week, including Thursday (Nantz/Romo). It's a Fox DH, so Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts go to the best early game - which is probably the Pats again, over the Raiders-Bills.

Week 9: bye

Week 10: Patriots at Broncos, 8:30 pm on NBC
Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth

Week 11: Patriots - Raiders in Mexico City, 4:30 pm on CBS
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

Week 12: Dolphins at Patriots, 1:00 pm on CBS
Probably Eagle/Fouts.

Week 13: Patriots at Bills, 1:00 pm on CBS
I'm guessing Nantz/Romo go to Denver-Miami, which could result in back-to-back Eagle/Fouts. Maybe the powers that be will spare us and have Gumbel/Green handle the game, but don't count on it.

Week 14: Patriots at Dolphins, 8:30 pm Monday on espn
Sean McDonough, Jon Gruden

Week 15: Patriots at Steelers, 4:30 pm on CBS
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo

Week 16: Bills at Patriots, 1:00 pm on CBS
Nantz/Romo will get either Miami-KC or Denver-Washington. My guess is that it will be Greg Gumbel and Trent Green for the Pats game.

Week 17: Jets at Patriots, 1:00 pm on CBS
Hard to say at this point, but I would guess Tom McCarthy and Steve Tasker.

Probability of any Pats game getting flexed this year would be low I think.

It is what happens when the schedule makers put almost all division games at the backend of the season. No reason to flex any of the other AFC East teams.

I just got a firestick and installed kodi, hopefully I will be able to get the game!

Living in Galveston, Texas, this is one of the few games I'd have been guaranteed to see. Unfortunately I'm overseas for it.

DVR is your friend..

i really really really hate dan fouts, why does he get so many pats games

Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts..... uggh.

I know it's unpopular, but I think Eagle's one of the best play-by-play guys. I'm also biased because I'm a Nets fan and he calls the Nets games on YES and is honestly probably the best basketball play-by-play guy. For football he's stuck with Fouts, who's a drunk clown, but he does an admirable job nonetheless.
