Patriots meet with TE Adam Shaheen DIv II " Gronk style TE" at the combine

Not sure about that level of competition speed/strength comparison, but he does grab the ball in air well.

But, I must say (DONT TELL THE JESTERS), that D2 QB had a better arm and tighter spiral, tighter placement than any QB on their roster. . . LOL!!

Gronk, "often imitated, never duplicated"!!!

Pats draft this guy first round, media and patsfans forum goes apeschitt (self included), then he goes on to catch 50 passes and 5 tds in his rookie year and everyone looks like an idiot.... As usual:D
Would not at all surprise me see them take him or Engram at 32 and double dip in midrounds with Butt. TE depth just too good not to this year.

I don't think that we draft him. There are other TE's like Jordan Leggett, Evan Engram, George Kittle or Jeremy Sprinkle. Another guy i would like to see here is Bucky Hodges out of V-Tech. He is 6'7'', 257 lbs, ran a 4.57 40-yd dash and has 10 1/8 inch hands. EDIT: Oh and by the way he set a new combine-record for TE's with an 11'2'' broad jump.

Ran a 4.79 with that weight. If you watch his youtube highlights it look's like he runs faster.

D2 corners are small and slow even compared to FCS guys. The corners at the HS down the street from me are faster. I'm not buying the Gangreen 4.59 speed. Maybe he's a diamond in the rough but the highlights don't show much. My guess is UDFA somewhere.

Can be block?

What is his story? How did a guy with his size, speed and skills end up in D2? Woodhead is small, so I can see why D1 colleges would have misjudged him.

Regards,
Chris

6-6 277 and running past CBs....

My god.

Division II CBs. I'd like to see this guy in the Big Ten or the SEC where the defensive talent is light years ahead.

Reading his bio states he was a basketball prospect and switched to Ashland to play football.

Exactly. I was commenting on his measureables.

Whomever gets him in camp will know soon enough if he can play against NFL-level talent.

Amazing a D2 guy is declaring early for the draft.

Chris

He needs a lot of work there because he is a transformed WR and only played the position for three years. But i think we have Gronk and maybe Rob Housler for blocking duties and a move TE would give this offense that Hernandez-Dimension back.
