Seattle Seahawks - Denver Broncos Super Bowl Pre-Game Thread

Cautiously optimistic about the game, but I think it's about an even matchup as it can be. Hoping for the best, haven't been this nervous for a football game--probably ever. I feel like I need these bragging rights, because the Pats are set up real well for next year and this could be our only shot.

With all due respect, if the Pats were in the Super Bowl I doubt if posting on a Broncos fan board would even remotely cross my mind.

I get the impression that if Manning pulls it off this year, then he might retire. If they don't however, then I fully expect Manning to come back, and for Denver's FO to pull out all the stops in keeping Decker (if that is possible).

I can't get myself to root for an NFC team. Every year we hear how great they are and most years they lose the SB.

I only rooted once for an NFC team in the SB and that was in 2002 for TB, when I was tired of all the whining from the Tuckheads in Oakland. Plus, I had placed a curse on them.

Good luck RYO. You're a respectful non-Pats fan. If Manning wins maybe it will push Tommy LomBrady a little harder.

Neither have I, and the only reason I will be peeking at this game, is because fox will be showing a promo of "24", Live Another Day. Jack Bauer is back!!!

That's the only bright spot for me....

As much as I hate it, I think Denver is going to win.

Also, I can't believe how perfect the weather turned out to be.

Well, it's been raining here in Mass. I guess Manning family tears will have to suffice.

I honestly see Seattle setting the tone early and beating up these denver receivers to the point where one of them will exit the game early. They will control the clock with a heavy dose of beastmode and get some key play action chunk plays and some russell wilson specials. They can then pin their ears back and tee off on Pey Pey.

Yup. Sunny in 50s (or was it 60s?) in January in Denver (AFCCG) and as of now it's 50+ in Jersey in February. The gods appear to be working in Manning's favor.
