Possible copywrite infringement to Guardians of the Galaxy.Orphans will be offended by this. I think they need to consider changing their name again.
The logo is awful. It looks like a logo for an expansion team in Madden. The name is meh. There’s nothing to guard in Cleveland besides the Rock n Roll HOF and magic mushrooms that spring up out of all the cowshit.I think the name is fine. Nobody likes change but a couple years from now it wont be given a second thought. I think the logo is lacking and they could have done a better job with it.
They absolutely could have picked something to do with the city or the region. Crap nickname that some socially woke committee came up with. The logo is awful. Spiders? thats a new one... kinda cool though... per pbr the indians also played as Cleveland Naps, Cleveland Bronchos and Cleveland Blues / Bluebirds ...Should've just returned to the Spiders.
i effing hope so... lol that fanbase would be sooo butthurt over itThey dont know it but, the Chiefs, are next.
Pretty bad.
I wonder is it good, or bad, to keep erasing any native american heritage. The logo for the washington football team was even designed by a native american I believe. Now both washington and cleveland completely erasing the name and logo, not sure that's supposed to be considered progress, but ok....
.
I suppose I could understand changing the name Redskins but even in that case I doubt any team would name itself with a pejorative. I always thought of Redskins as something fierce or as a warrior or something that should never be fought but we live in a country of Karens in which everything is offensive so it is what it is now.
Cleveland Indians?? How is that offensive? I would have thought it was more favorable than offensive. But what do I know?
I think Chief Wahoo was offensive…the name Indians not so much. Washington Skins works for me…the humanoid logos can all go because they suck anyway.
