Troy Brown the Leading Receiver in Brady's Last 400+ Yard Performance

It's been almost nine years since the last time Brady threw for 400+ yards in a game, but the Patriots quarterback set a franchise and Monday night football record with his 517-yard performance last night.

Even despite the 2007 season where Brady was throwing bombs to Randy Moss and went on to throw for 50 touchdowns during their 16-0 regular season that year, Brady surprisingly still never reached that plateau.

In fact, the last 400+ yard game for Brady came back on September 22nd, 2002 where he finished 39-of-54 for 410 yards, with 4 touchdowns, and 1 INT (110.9 QB rating) in a 41-38 home win for New England over Kansas City.

It may only feel like yesterday, but when you take into account the fact that game happened just seven months after they won their first championship, it really was longer than it seems.

Oddly enough, just to take you back a bit, the  leading receivers in that game were Troy Brown (16 catches for 176 yards and a touchdown), David Patten (7 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown) and Deion Branch - 6 catches for 33 yards.

Your other wide reciever in that game? That would be none other than Donald Hayes (2 catches for 10 yards) who was joined by a tight end trio of Daniel Graham, Cam Cleeland, and Christian Fauria - all three of which had a reception in that game.

It was a big afternoon for Brown that day. However the former Patriots wideout now comfortably retired as a radio analyst here in New England while Brady is still out there going strong - and setting records even nearly a decade later.
