The Boston Globe reported on Wednesday that the Patriots signed kicker Shayne Graham yesterday, citing a league source.
Graham was added to fill in for the injured Stephen Gostkowski, who strained a muscle in his thigh on Sunday during New England's 34-14 loss against the Cleveland Browns. Gostkowski's final kick was an extra point following the Patriots first touchdown, and didn't kick again after that point.
Graham is in his 10th season, with his most recent history being with the Cincinnati Bengals, from 2003-09, with a career average of 85.2 percent. Gostkowski is expected to be out for at least two weeks, so Graham will likely see his first game action Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
