An interesting note I mentioned in today's headlines, but thought I'd point it out in a separate post.

The Boston Globe reported this morning that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady apparently knew that the trade of Randy Moss was coming before it happened, and was reportedly in touch with Seattle Seahawks receiver Deion Branch about coming back to New England as a possibility to replace Moss.
"The source added that Tom Brady, knowing that the trade of Randy Moss was in the works, has been in touch with Branch frequently over the last week or so, talking to him about coming back to the Patriots."
Branch is reportedly set to meet with Seahawks official to discuss his future, and it could potentially lead to him returning here.
Meanwhile Adam Schefter was on WEEI this morning discussing the subject, and while he ruled out any chance of them acquiring wide receiver Vincent Jackson from San Diego, he felt that the deal with Branch was at least more likely.
"That's a different story," said Schefter of Branch. "That is something that ultimately could wind up happening. We'll see. It's up to both sides. Let's also say this: There's been talk about that for the last few years. And that's not to say that it won't happen now, because it could. ... That one I'm not ruling out."
