It's now up to Bruschi as to whether or not he'll return, and if so what that timetable will be. He has the full support of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who said in the statement he wants "only what is best for Tedy Bruschi and his family and will continue to support his decision."
Bruschi's doctor, Dr. David Greer, a renowned specialist in Stroke Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, also said in the statement that after monitoring Bruschi's recovery since the stroke he suffered back in February, the veteran is "completely back to normal, and is exceptionally healthy". The doctor said he also has "no doubt" that Bruschi will be able to perform physically at "a very high level". The team will have this week off during their bye week as they get set to take on the Buffalo Bills in a Sunday night match-up on October 30th.
