Something you don’t see very often is a proper vertical value value chart. This one is Patriots-orientated, meaning that each player is slotted according to their use to the Patriots.
The trade value of the pick is irrelevant - this is a player you want on our roster. Where players are slotted at picks that we don't have, this means that I think we should go and grab them there with whatever ammo we can muster. Where two or more players are present at the same slot, they are listed in order of preference.
Drafting some players may necessitate a change of defensive scheme - and that's reflected in where I've slotted them. But I have absolutely no problem with changing to a 4-3 front if we draft Suh or McCoy, for example.
Feel free to rip it to shreds. I've probably missed a few players here and there, it happens. I plan to post a new version in this thread on Thursday night to use while watching the draft.
