Some Decidedly UnChristian Acts

I thought some of us might be amused ~ and a little amazed ~ to reflect on the horrific things Coach Bill The Mad Genius has perpetrated, over the years, on his fellow man. Please keep in mind that this presentation was cobbled together using VERY crude means, and is virtually guaranteed to be full of mistakes: This information is startlingly difficult to get ahold of, and if anyone wishes to correct the record, their contributions are very welcome, indeed:

I particularly like that one, as I'd said, prior to the draft, that Aaron Hernandez would very likely have JUST as much impact on his team's Passing Game as ANY of the Wide Outs ~ particularly Bryant and Thomas!! ~ that so many were frothing for!! :D

Todd Collins!!

Todd Collins for Tom Brady!!!

Shaun Ellis!!

1 ~ 2000 #16 ~ Jets ~ Bill Belichick.
( Jets traded up to #12 to get Ellis)

83% of Shaun Ellis ~ Bill Belichick!!

Oh, he's impressive alright. Maybe he doesn't hit on every single pick, but who ever does? Overall, I truly would not want any other person on earth choosing the players or running the team.

I don't give a damn what any other person in the world thinks, the man is a football genius--hands down.

the thing i love about this is when you look at these moves all layed out like that it's easy to spot the bad one... clay mathews a pro bowl OLB owuld be great... but i mean it's still not that bad cause we got gronkowski out of it plus we'll c about brace n butler this year ( last year i giuve them to perform).

But people forget alot of the good BB does just cause he makes a couple of mistakes. Loved the thomas for Price McCourty and Hernandez trade

Not to even mention what he is going to turn Armani Edwards (#89 2010) into #33 2011.

As long as BB stays away from Green Bay, he should be able to continue to tool other GM's around the league again this year.

But he needs to stay away from Green Bay, I think BB helped win them a SB due to bad trades, Mathews and Jennings come to mind.

To be fair, there WERE a number of red flags around all of those USC linebackers, so it's not like taking Matthews was the obvious choice, and it's even harder to castigate BB on Matthews since GRONK just had the best rookie season for a TE since Mike Ditka. [With all due respect to Butler and Brace, though, taking both of them over Connor Barwin was a mistake, I think, since at the absolute worst you could let Barwin play Vrabel's TE role while he was learning to play OLB.]

Matthews is the most overrated player in the NFL.

Green Bay won their own Superbowl, the Patriots had nothing to do with it.

I don't get the Jennings thing. Yes, we traded up and took the wrong guy in Chad Jackson. But it's not as if GB really knew what they had in Jennings either.

After all, GB drafted Daryn Colledge 5 spots ahead of Jennings. This was incredibly risky because their division rival Minnesota had two picks between where Colledge and Jennings were drafted, and WR was a major need that season.

They were lucky, just as we were lucky to land Brady in the 6th. But the Patriots were not responsible for GB getting Jennings. We had our chance at him, yes. But GB also passed on him twice, and they were quite fortunate he was around for their 3rd pick.

X10,000. Vollmer dominated him. You shut down the loop, Matthews sucks. God, I hate Matthews.

I agree with you 100% on us passing on Barwin, but let me ask you this.

If you can only have one, would you rather have an elite pass rusher or an elite TE?

After reading Off the Grid's post I put on my "A Beautiful Mind" thinking cap and I've come to startling conclusion!

This will be ESPN's next cover story on how BB has been able to maneuver the draft board over the years!

Let's add together all of the numbers highlighted above:
13+41+21+36+117+7+10+78+24+69+47+40+34+26+41+62= 666

Vollmer dominates a lot of people. The question we should be asking is, should Vollmer be our starting LT from here on out and Matt Light shown the door? BB's thought process concerning this issue could have a signifciant impact on how the Pats stack their draft board.

Is Maneri up to the task as RT?
Can Light play LG?

If so, should Mankins be traded?
