only gave up 21 points against the leagues best offense.

Key stops especially after our failed on-side kick. Shut Atlanta out in the 4th qtr! Got some really key sacks when they needed it most.

Trey Flowers is that pass rusher we've needed for the past 10 years. Hightower awesome. Secondary held up pretty good.

Cant ask for more against an offense like Atlantas

They played amazing. Stepped up when we needed them most and pushed Atlanta back when it looked like they were heading for at least an easy FG. The pressure they got on Ryan was awesome.

Yea I think we are going to have to wait till next year to say that the Pats had a good defense this season .

Patriots D only gave up 68 yards after they went down 28-3.

68.

Stunning.

and 7 of the 21 was on a short field after Blount fumbled no?

Trey Flowers was a beast. 2.5 sacks against that OL is an immense performance. Sheard had the RT's backside in Ryan's face all day. Hightower made the first game-winning play, when things were still looking pretty grim. The coverage on Julio Jones and the lack of YAC by anyone, aside from the one blown coverage on Freeman. It was such a strong performance by the D. When there was no margin for anything short of excellence, they delivered. We all said before the game that if they held the potent Atlanta offense to less than 30, the Pats would win, and even with TB spotting them 7 points, they got the job done.

While I don't want to see BB go, I'd love to see how this team plays with Josh and Matty P in charge before Brady retires. Patricia deserve a chance to show what he can do with a solid team without BB's shadow hanging over him, rather than having to prove himself with an underachieving team in need of rebuilding. So glad they are hanging around for another season.

This defense deserves its due in history. It outplayed the 2014 team over 19 games and especially in the playoffs vs. 3 better opponents.
