Does anybody have an up to date break down of Brady and Manning indoors and outdoors?
Prior 2006 season, Brady led in both comparisons (proving that Manning's edge at the time could be explained entirely by him playing indoors, and not even factoring in his vastly superior receivers).
I'd like to see how those stats have evolved.
Here's some, picked from another site:
"Peyton's rating on actual GRASS is higher than Tommy's!! 89.3 versus 87.2?? Isn't that the "real" football?? And ALL of Peyton's "grass" games have been away, in hostile territory."
"I have seen a number of other posters make this point, and so I ran the numbers.
If you take out Manning's rookie year, his QB rating is 97.7. Very impressive.
If you take out Brady's 1st 16 games, his QB rating is 92.6.
Since I had a spreadsheet going, I took their full career regular season numbers and added in the post-season numbers. Both QBs numbers went down slightly, which isn't much of surprise - playoff teams generally have good, and sometimes great, defenses.
Manning's QB rating (reg. season + post-season): 93.7
Brady's QB rating (reg. season + post-season): 91.1"
