According to Michael Smith of ESPN within the last hour, relayed through 98.5, Romeo Crennel was in discussions with the Chiefs before this past season even ended, and had assured the team that if he returned to the NFL in 2010, it would only be for the Chiefs.

He was officially hired by the Chiefs yesterday.

(Just if anyone was wondering if the Pats went after RAC)

I wonder why he would not even consider the Patriots?

Location maybe? Chance to work with a specific personnel? The challenge of bringing a team back up?

Maybe we'll find out at some point.

Honestly, the BBQ is so fine in KS, it's no wonder the state is a lightning rod for the morbidly obese football coaches of the world.

Bryants is setting up exclusive tables for Weis and for RAC.

Maybe he and Jason Whitlock are buddies..
