I disagree. I don't take them too seriously. I just can't root for a guy knowing he did that to a woman. This is one of those litmus tests for people who take their sports too seriously.

You misunderstand me. I'm saying that anyone who doesn't care what horrible **** a dude did, so long as he helps their team win, takes sports too seriously.I disagree. I don't take them too seriously. I just can't root for a guy knowing he did that to a woman.

I did not know that. Thanks for informing me. Any info on the out of court settlement?Jesus H. Christ. He was convicted in June, appealed, and then settled with her. He's a scumbag.
A legal ruling has literally nothing to do with real-life innocence or guilt of an act.
Always remember, first blame the victim.
Ponder that!
Exactly, I don't really judge people I don't know like that. I'd sign him in a second.I root for the Pats as a sports team. I don't use the individuals in the team as a representation of my character. So yeah, I would love him on the team.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I like the patriots football team. I'm under no delusions that most of the players are actually good people. I couldn't care less about what they do off the field as long as they contribute to winning games.
