It's easy, and only takes a few moments. We already have a punt returner like that called Julian Edelman.Probably only costs you guys a 6th or 7th. Saunders is a good special teamer, probably has some potential as a wide receiver. One of those guys where you hold your breath on a punt return because if he gets one little crease he's going to run a long way.
Edelman also catches 100+ passes a year....probably a wise idea to not risk him on returns if you can help it.
Honest question: does anyone know if punt returners are actually at increased injury risk versus the average injury risk for any given player on any given play? Just wondering, because it seems like everyone always gasps at the idea of guys returning punts and getting injured. Welker did it for years and Edelman does it now. Although it sure seems to be more dangerous because players are running at the PR full speed, I'm not sure statistics back that the position is more injury-prone than others. I just don't see a lot of punt returners going to IR.

I am actually pretty surprised by this move. I thought that Harper was going to be our KR/PR man, so I am wondering if this move makes Harper expendable. Your thoughts??
Conditional 2018 7th to NO for Saunders, I read somewhere.
