Didn't we hear about how dominant Pittsburgh's D was in the run-up to the AFC Championship game in January 2005, and even before our regular season matchup with them in week 3 in 2005? Reason I ask is because that's all I'm hearing now about the Baltimore D - is how dominant they are.

Am I correct?

Yes, you are correct. The Patriots "ran" the ball for 32 times for 126 yards, but 2 of those "rushes" were kneel downs at the end of the game. So, it was actually 30 rushes for 124 yards. Or better than 4 YPC.

We used Dillon and Faulk as the primary rushers. Branch had a great run on the end around for the TD, scampering 23 yards. I forget what the other play was, but he picked up 12 on it.

Kneeldowns are almost invariably -1 or -2 yards, so the Pats were actually ~128 yards on 30 carries. [Not much of a difference, but let's give them credit where credit is due. :) ]

The key to the Patriots' success this season is the Oline play. If they play well, we win. Big. 4 in 6.

An end around as the first play after the int by Wilson in the first quarter.

Thanks for the correction. They were -1 yard each. So, -2. So, yes, I went the wrong way. 128 on 20 is correct.
