As a Polish-American, I will now proceed to give y'all a pronunciation lesson.
Steve's family, as have many Polish-Americans, have probably "anglicized" how they pronounce his name but in Polish it would come out as Gust-cuff-ski, or Goosed-cove-ski.
Gust as in a wind "gust". Or perhaps "Goosed" as in a pinch in the arse.
Cuff or Cove as in "cuff" of a sleeve or the seacoast "cove".
Ski as in snow "ski".
And of course Steve is pronounced as ... "Casper"
(the friendly Ghost).
