PFT: NFL lays out several proposals to change playing rules in 2017

Some owners must have their panties in a wad because THEIR HCs can't effectively manage the clock.
Yet another attempt to level the playing field by outlawing excellence.
Ambiguity reigns.
I think we need to know what exactly this rule change means if it passes.... I mean, what type of activity are they talking about?

Looks like Snyder is off his meds again. Redskins submitted a proposal that would keep a touchback after kickoff at the 25 -- unless the kickoff goes through the uprights, in which case it would be spotted at the 20. What the hell???

I guess this probably is not within the scope of what the Competition Committee would address, and I understand that even commenting at all on football air pressure measurements is stupidly naive, but it is still disappointing to see the absolute intellectual and moral dishonesty of that Committee to fail to ensure that the league has in place a legitimate professional-level set of procedures to ensure accuracy of taking and documenting the measurements, calibrating the gauges, etc.

Please let the helmet one pass!!! I feel like it's only there to help them argue against concussion liability in court. More throwbacks is good for business.

What happens if it runs late? Dock a 1st round pick for illegal halftime length?

Only if it happens in New England. /Rodger Goodell
