Peter King :It's time to make room for Flacco in upper echelon of QBs

You don't make room to include a QB in the elite crowd. They go in an command it from their ability. Flacco (in my opinion) would need to get a bit more consistent for him to be considered elite. He's living off the long ball and no doubt has a great arm and some pretty good accuracy downfield But, his receivers are definitely helping him out in that regard.

Maybe this is the game where the blueprint on defending him comes to play :).

You're such a hypercritical poster, your going at him for Flacco having a good team around him yet you place Big Ben in the top 4 of your rankings when he has only succeeded because of a team with great coaching, running game and the top 5 defense over the last decade.

The only one embarrassing themselves in this forum is you. Your 4th ranked QB could't take a team with the #1 ranked defense in the NFL to the playoffs but Flacco benefited from his 17th ranked defense more..

What?
Ben Roethlisberger has three 4th quarter game-winning drives in the postseason, the hardest place to do it. That is more than:

Troy Aikman
Roger Staubach
Steve Young
Bart Starr
Jim Plunkett
Donovan McNabb
Peyton Manning
Jim Kelly
Brett Favre
Fran Tarkenton
Joe Flacco :D
Len Dawson
Phil Simms

All these QBs played, and won, several postseason games. These guys started 27 SBs.
So while these QBs, most of them having a great offense built around them, Big Ben, who you claim that was helped by his defense and running game, has done more with less when it matters the most.
Even though 4th quarter GWD is not the ultimate factor, saying that he has succeed only because of his defense, running game and coaching is a cheap shot.

More with less? Or maybe he was making up for his 1.2 turnover per game ratio which likely put his team down. GWD is a flawed stat. Big Ben plays in a lot of 17-14 games because his defense and running game held it tight. Not impressed with anything he does. Andrew Luck had 6 GWD this year and he actually made the postseason unlike Ben.

It's time to make room for Joe Flacco in the upper echelon of quarterbacks - NFL - Peter King - SI.com

I noticed he hardly writes any pats specific articles. Even in the SB last yr he chose to cover the giants than the pats.

Flunko's nickname should be "Mary" because the only thing he is good at is throwing the HAIL MARY!!!! Cmon Peter....did you watch ANY of the first half games that Balt played?? This guy is NOT even close to an elite QB. He has a good arm overall I will agree with that....but the guy is decent at best and makes More BAD plays than good....disagree with King.......I am sure he still thinks that Romo is elite as well....
