Well, no one has less respect for No-class-man Suh than I do, but if "our plays did the talking" yesterday then the Pats decided that Suh was right.
They only ran the ball 20 times yesterday (90 yards), vs. 44 (246 yards) in the Indy game the week before and put in 53 Pass plays (349 yards) vs. 39 (257 yards) the week before.
We should never forget that Belichick's first objective in game planning is to take away what the other team does best. In the case of the Lions, no matter how much I disdain them, the way to do that was to respect their Run Defense and challenge their Pass Defense while running the ball only just enough to keep them honest. That's part of the reason they were so frustrated at the end of the game; we didn't play it on their terms.
