It's called Durty Nellies in the northwest village of Palantine, in the suburbs of Chicago.

They advertised as the Patriot's sportsbar in the northwest or somesuch. Now, I could have gone to some sports bar within walking distance of my hotel, but I wanted to hang out with other Patriot fans, so I went to Durty Nellies.

OK, classy place. But I turned out I was the only Patriot fan there. I was outnumbered 2-to-1 by Browns fans (a couple). After I arrived, a guy in a Redskins jersey shows up who seemed to know the bartender, so this was the game shown on the main TV with sound. They did not even have th HD version of NFL Ticket (does such a thing exist?). The only games in high-def were the local broadcasts (Jets-Giants, and I'm not sure who on FOX).

    1-star.

HD for NFL ticket does exist...you have to buy superfan to get it which I wasn't thrilled about.

It's $100 - same amount gets you a parking spot at Gillette twice a season. Relative to the cost of NFL stuff, it's not a big deal.

that's funny. I am within driving distance to that craphole bar.

It's actually a decent place, i just don't like bars with bands and all that crap.

I had no clue it was referred to as a "Pats Bar"

Where did you hear that? was someone just screwing with ya?

good thing I don't go parking at Gillette.

but considering I already paid about 260 or so for the regaula ticket and then another $100 on top of it, I wasn't thrilled. When I bought my new 42 plasma I couldn't watch the game in standard def. it was awful.

Yeah, it's about $350 for the year. It's more than that just to park at Gillette for the year :D I'm not going to complain about $350 for the entire NFL in HD all season + the incredible red zone channel.

    No Jersey Selected

I was in NH over the weekend. Should have been at the game (Didn't check the schedule before booking vacation). Was cool though, GF's 4 year old nephew got to go to his first game. He sat down and first thing he said to his dad was "Where's Tom Brady?"

Anyway, me and the GF went into North Conway and watched the game at a place called the Up Country Saloon. Nice place with lots of TV's including 12 foot projection TV. We got there about 12:40 and there were about 5 people in there. By 1:00 the place was packed, it was awesome!

Well can't vouch for it as a sportsbar, but if you like great Chicago Blues Jamband type music, there's a great band there called Mr. Blotto that plays there often.

    Sure it is :)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwest_Territory

It's just the OLD Northwest, rather than the NEW Northwest. It's the reason there is a Northwest Airlines based out of Minneapolis, and why there is a Northwest University in Chi-town, etc...

    I didn't tell you "It's a Pat's bar my friend", I said "It's my friend Pat's bar". :)

When you guys come to Phoenix to watch the PAtriots in the Superbowl, make sure and stop by the "Vine tavern". As far as I know, its the only Patriots bar in PHX. On any given Sunday, there is on average 100+ pats fans watching there. And its the home of the NEPFCA.

OK, so you'd think a sports bar advertising itself as the "official" home for some team in its area could fork out an additional $100 to get this?

To be honest, didn't see the supposed signage outdoors myself, but both a nephew and a niece separately reported this to me about this bar. All I saw inside was a Patriot logo with a special on pitchers of beer. So perhaps I need to back off on this.

Yes I would, it's kind of sad if they don't get it.
