Switching up the practice format could lead to more insights. I was starting to feel like the red zone well was running dry for us fans trying to learn more about the team. Surprise, the tallest eligible receivers on the field performed well.
Meyers is the kind of WR Butler always played best against. Within relative height range. Excels at route running. Butler always seemed to drape those players pretty damn well, even the top of the archetype.
Mac has to do a better job - if not a Much better one - of hitting the open receivers while on the run, because he'll once again have to do a Lot of that this season; and if he can't take better advantage of the coverage breakdowns while doing it then we'll never score enough points against the good teams...
I haven't stayed glued to these threads, so I may have missed something - but I feel like I'm only hearing about who Mac is throwing to, and not what his throwing/decision making looks like. Has there been any comments on that?
