Notes

--Belichick will be trying to win his 7th ring. No coach in NFL history has achieved this. The only person period to get 7 rings is front office man Neal Dahlen, who got
5 with the 49ers (Staff/Player personnel) and 2 with Denver (GM).

--Raymond Ventrone has been part of the Patriots organization as a player/coach for now 6 seasons yet has managed not to be on any of the SB winning teams so far, as his five seasons with the Pats before this were 05, 06, 07, 08, 15.

--The longest drought from last ring to their potential next ring is Dante Scarnecchia, who won his last ring 12 years ago (2004).

--Of the players on the team looking to win their 2nd Super Bowl ring, Cameron Fleming (24 years old) is the youngest.

--Chris Long (age 31) is the oldest player on the team without a ring.

--If Brady wins SB MVP, it will give him the most (4) in NFL history, breaking his current tie (3) with Joe Montana.

Awesome.

23 players (at the moment, free agency will most likely change things) will have a chance to join 22 other Patriots part of the current 3-ring club.

And technically guys like Gronk and Vollmer (who were inactive for the SB this year) would be part of it as well.

Imagine if someone told you in 2013 after Chung signed with the Eagles he'd eventually win multiple rings with the Pats with a chance for 3 now...

Was Cardona the first Service academy grad to win a ring since Staubach???

I think Flores has 3 rings. He joined the Pats in 2004.

Imagine if someone told you after last year's loss to Denver that we would lose Brady for four games, not have 3 of our top players (Gronkowski, Jones, Collins all undisputed top 10 if not higher), not pick up a single big name free agent, and yet go 14-2 and win it all.

Honestly I think the key to our season was the health of McCourty, Butler, Ryan, Chung, and company. When was the last time a defensive back suffered a hangnail?

You are correct.

I had at 2 since I was only accounting for rings won as a coach (as opposed to scout) but other than that no reason not to include those really.

Good stuff Pete. Thanks for the list.
