OT: Nike the Dog Might Make Another Cameo Tonight on NFLN

I'm a dog lover and putting a cute dog on an otherwise bland 3hr show on the 2020 NFL schedule IMO livens it up a bit. I think NFL takes itself too seriously and with all that is going on, humor is welcome.

Nothing puts a smile on Bill Belichick's face like his dog Nike

Apparently, Bill's girlfriend wanted to name him Nike.

Bill wanted to name him Jack.

Somehow that makes me feel better, in two ways.

One, that Bill's choice for a dog name was normal.

Two... going forward, when I inevitably acquiesce to Mrs. Rover on something...

I can say to myself, "You know, Bill Belichick isn't even allowed to name his own dog."

It's nice they named him Nike...hopefully will give that little start-up shoe company a bit of a marketing boost.

Good dogs. I once tried to help a neighbor out by grabbing on to his runaway Rotty's collar but had to let go. He was going wherever he wanted whether he had to drag me down the road or not. Haha. Friendly though.

It was one of her daughters. Linda wanted to name him Chester.

We raised 5 boys, had to have something friendly but rugged. We had Rotties when I was a kid and they were fun loving and nearly indestructible so that's what we opted for. Worked out great, they are lovable lugs until you F with a member of 'their pack.'
