Wow how many ******s actually think Lance better than Jones?
What's the argument that Mac is the better QB? If you redo that 1st round right now, then Lawrence is still the first QB taken. Fields would be the second QB. Lance would drop out of the top 10 picks but he's still going somewhere (late) in that 1st round. Wilson and Jones drop out of the 1st round completely. Wilson looks worse than Davis Mills but if you still think you can make something of his raw talent then grab him late 3rd or 4th round. Jones is probably a late 2nd or 3rd round pick at this point. But if I'm right then his stock is trending down and his draft value will continue to drop.

I voted for the getting something back in return. Lance could lead them to the #1 pick overall next season. That’s a great return.

Crawhammer is Adam Jones. Confirmed.

Fields 2nd qb? Sure for people who like scramblers. Give me Mac at 2nd.

Other than the bolded areas, you are just guessing using your biases to guide you and are probable wrong.

Fields has yet to prove that he can complete a forward pass on a consistent basis against NFL defenses and he would have been traded if there was no-brainer QB pick at #1 this year (on a Lawrence/Williams level).

Lance has played almost no meaningful football since 2019. 2019. Plus, it was pretty clear early on as a rookie that he was going to be a major project and that the Niners seemed to have buyers remorse.

Coaches and GMs around the league know that Mac was put in an awful position by Bill last year and most probably knew that it was going to be a train wreck before the season even started. Most of those individuals likely judge Mac predominantly on his rookie year, rather than last year.

For the reasons stated above, it is laughable to think that most teams would choose Lance go ahead of Mac in a re-draft. In addition, for teams that run a pass-heavy offense, it is no sure thing that they would choose a quarterback who ranked 31st in the league in completion percentage among starting quarterbacks (Fields) over Mac. The Bears were terrified to throw the ball last year and Fields has to share the blame with his poor OL and skill position players. It is certainly possible that he will make major strides as a passer and reader of defenses this year but that is still a major question mark and a run-only quarterback is virtually useless in the NFL when it comes to actually winning football games, not just putting up gaudy rushing statistics. The Bears had the fewest passing attempts in the league by wide margin and averaged only 130 passing yards per game.

Scrambler? Had he not sat week 17 he would have set a single season rushing record for a quarterback. His arm (strength) is better than Mac's. Fields also has had the worst WRs in the NFL for two seasons. The addition of DJ Moore should help (with Mooney sliding down to WR2). Fields has massive potential.

Rumor has it that Belichick was shopping Mac this offseason. From which we learned two things: 1) the Patriots aren't too high on Mac's future and 2) apparently neither is the rest of the league.

As I said before, the Bears WRs were putrid last season, and their o-line couldn't pass protect at all. Their offense became one dimensional with Fields even shouldering the heaviest load in the running game. You can add definite toughness to his attributes. The Bears offense needs to be more balanced in 2023 and they've already added a couple of pieces that should help (Moore and Tonyan).

"His friend"... sure.

Tomorrow can't get here fast enough.

You call it a rumor, and then proceed to treat it as a fact. Nice try. The vast majority of NFL rumors are total BS, especially during the off-season. Florio’s story was based entirely on one anonymous source, who didn’t seem to know much, if anything, about any of the teams involved. Multiple different sports reporters subsequently came up empty when trying to verify the story. The teams mentioned in the flat out, denied to the same reporters that they had discussed Mac. They similarly couldn’t locate anyone in the patriots organization, even on an anonymous basis, who would confirm the story. But sure, just assume that it is factual, because that fits your agenda, while ignoring another recent report that O’Brien chose to come back to the Patriots in large part, because he was excited to work with Mac (plus a sh*t ton of money).

Fields has done nothing from a passing standpoint in the NFL to indicated that he has “massive potential” in that facet of the game. What he has are massive question marks. We should know by the end of the year, now that his excuses have been removed largely from the equation.

Don't forget the Chase Claypool addition.

You had me with a straight face until you said O'Brien came back because he's "excited to work with Mac."

I suppose. He was good in 2020 and 2021. But terrible last season (which in part could have been the QBs). DJ Moore is going to help everyone in that offense. All other WRs will more down a spot on the depth chart (where they belong). They should get in on the Hopkins sweepstakes before a deal gets done with Baltimore or Buffalo.

Omg these clowns on Felger and Mazz devoting the whole show to a made up Reddit post

So I ran the probabilities of this happening through numerous algorithms, AI’s, the Watson super-computer and the ghost of Jimmy the Greek and apparently it’s less then zero percent. Specifically the math says there is a higher percentage the Jete win a super bowl in the next 100 years.
