Jerome Boger's crew has been assigned to officiate Saturday night's divisional playoff game between the Patriots and Jaguars.
Boger's crew worked two Patriots games during the regular season -- at the Bengals (Oct. 1) and vs. the Jets (Dec. 16).
In the Patriots-Bengals game, the Patriots had three penalties and the Bengals eight. In the Patriots-Jets game, both teams were flagged for six accepted penalties.
Boger's crew worked one Jaguars game during the regular season -- vs. the Raiders (Dec. 23). The Jaguars were flagged for six penalties in that game, the Raiders 11.
I doubt the officials will be a factor regardless of the outcome. I just hope this isn't like setting up an excuse thread. If it's blatant, sure. But lets not try and make excuses. Not saying that was the thread creators intentions, just sayin'.
