BOSTON -- Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling is willingly playing the villain in a new video game that he hopes will raise money to battle ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
For the next three days, during the Red Sox-Yankees series in New York June 5, 6 and 7, online gamers can log on to www.battleals.com to challenge the evil Schilling character, appropriately named "Curt Schilling."
According to the game's Web site, every time a player defeats the virtual Schilling character, game creator Sony Online Entertainment, will make a donation of $5 (up to a maximum of $10,000) to the ALS Association.
A chance to kick Schilling's arse. Sounds good to me. I just wish they had him in his favorite Squeeler jersey.
