Up until recently Mankins has long been the only player on the o-line regarded as "nasty". One more is not a bad thing at all.
Solder needs some nastiness to him. He's got the tools to be an overwhelmingly dominant blocker at the point of attack especially when he stays low. And going after Spikes (our pseudo enforcer) sends a strong message. In the big picture this is a good thing for the team as a whole. The nice, well read, polite rookie from last year is gone. Behold NASTY NATE SOLDER!!
