The Times has a recent article http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/30/s...may-have-science-on-their-side-after-all.html citing a technical report (link in the article) that basically replicates game time weather in laboratory conditions and concludes that weather would account for about a 1.8 psi drop.
I believe the URL of the technical paper is accessible here: http://www.headsmartlabs.com/#in-the-news .
The Times also noted that several physicists mixed up absolute and gas pressure when using the ideal gas law in early reports which made their computations incorrect (and thus less favorable to the Pats).
None of this is new for those of us who heard the BB press conference last week, but the fact that finally the media is doing experiments themselves rather than fantasizing is notable.
