The kid might be great. Very strong leg. Seems to be getting more confident. It will be interesting how he performs in Nov and Dec.

Really not that bad for a rookie year. He is going to get a lot better but you can tell he has all the physical tools to be one of the better ones out there. Yay, the kicker is the highlight of the 2023 season.

Developing a kicker is a long term investment. Vinatieri and Gostkowski had their ups and downs as rookies. In this case the long snapper and holder had a big part of Ryland's early struggles. With today's kickoff rules a kicker who cannot routinely bury the ball in the back of the endzone is not viable.
