People are always unsure of where inside linebackers grade out on a league-wide basis. They don't get graded on pure sack/size/speed numbers and tackles are next to worthless as a comparison tool. If these people were skilled at scouting football talent they'd probably work at it, instead they grade inside linebackers based on a complex forumla of hearsay, relative team need, and black magic.I've also heard that some have him going in the 2nd or even the 3rd. Weird.
Weaker linebackers also tend to get hidden inside in college, protected by the defense tackles from blockers. That kind of experience doesn't translate well to the pros.
