Ha! At home in the middle of the afternoon and I switch on the soccer. ;)

3-0 to Liverpool at half-time and Andy Carroll looks like everything a British centre-forward should be -- fast, good in the air, determined, with a powerful shot. Enough to scare the life out of any defender who isn't prepared to put his body on the line.

Decent result that, very impressed with the desire and invention from the redmen. We're still a good season or two yet from breaking back into the CL spots though IMO.

Any players we sign MUST be right this summer, we simply can't afford another window of flops. The signings of Carroll, Suarez and hopefully Kenny full time will and have done alot to reassure fans we know what we're doing again. Dalglish has always been able to spot a player and Commoli's signings have done alot for Spurs. Together with the backing of the owners we can get the ball rolling on a new start for Liverpool.

These past few years have hurt. Alot.

Yes, they played as if they meant it, even without Gerrard. And if Carroll carries on like that and Gerrard comes back healthy, they'll be a strong Premier League side.

But (I'm speaking as a neutral) they look pretty much the opposite of Arsenal -- not refined and technical so much as tough and direct. That will work well against the Stokes and Boltons. Not so much against the Barcelonas and Real Madrids. Still, it will be interesting to see how they go next year.

It works against anyone if the quality, plan and organisation is there mate, whatever way you play. Kenny will have the team passing the ball, always has done but Dalglish will also make the team earn their money and earn their right to play first.

For me the mixture of class and character is a must in any side. Thats why this Barca side are so impressive, they're not just fancy boys who can play, when they haven't got the ball they're working their t!ts off, pressing and making challenges. Something a side like Arsenal desperately lack. Arsenal only look a good side when it goes their way.
