Not sure if this has been brought up today in the midst of all the bad news, but I recall hearing how the Patriots were potentially going to bring Lynch back on the squad after the first week so they wouldn't have to guarantee his salary. Any news on this?

Before the Brady injury I think this was going to be a big thing on their list

After Brady's injury I think the FO dwells this week on whether or not they should search for a capable QB to challenge Cassel for the starting job or at least challenge him weeks down the road.

Lynch may still be on radar but it probably is a little delayed if it does happen to come forth.

You think they can't do two things at once ? It's looking like Lynch (and Flynn) may not be back but it has nothing to do with Brady.

I would think Lynch is needed on D regardless of what the offense is doing, Lynch is an upgrade from James Sanders, maybe it's a squabble over guaranteed money.
