My favorite part of reading those kinds of writings is the comments on the bottom. It's amazing to see what people will run with to try to convince themselves the patriots are bad, cheaters, etc. The patriots stopped taping or having tapes, then broke all kinds of records. I don't see how people argue that they cheated last season. Of course logic has nothing to do with it.

The reason for that is because the last time they predicted wrong there were no consequences. That is why the football media by and large is a joke. They are never held accountable by their employers or their peers. It's all about ratings points, no one cares if they're virtual morons as long as they garner ratings. When Curren got the national gig at MSNBC the sage advice Peter King gave him wasn't to be thorough or careful or honest - it was to write for your audience (so you keep that job for the rest of your lifetime regardless). To lose a job in the sports media you have to get caught in drag on camera or emailing pics of your johnson to unsuspecting co-workers...
